Neck warmer tutorial (Horseshoe cable on circular)

 

 

 MATERIALS

  • 100 gram worsted yarn 100% superwash Merino
  • Circular Needle: size 7 (4.5 mm) length 16″/40 cm
  • Spare needle
  • Measuring tape
  • Pair of scissors
  • Stitch marker

 

 

 

NECK WARMER

Gauge
Cast on 120 sts
2″/5 cm over rib stitch
7″/18 cm over cable stitch
2″/5 cm over rib stitch

Cast on
Cast on 120 stitches with one needle, tie the end.

Edge
Place the marker, join the circular, work on a Rib stitch for 2″/5 cm repeating K2, P1

Horseshoe cable stitch in circular (for horseshoe cable tutorial on flat click here)
(the horseshoe cable can be made over 12 stitches, in this pattern I worked over 24 stitches)

Round 1 to 5: knit all stitches
Round 6: rep (SL6BK, K6, RSL6, SL6FRT, K6, RSL6)
repeat round 1 to 6

NOTE:
SL6BK*: slip 6 stitches to spare needle in Back
SL6FRT*: slip 6 stitches to spare needle in front
RSL6*: return 6 slipped stitches back from spare needle to the left needle and knit them

Edge
Work on a Rib stitch for 2″/5 cm repeating K2, P1. Block all stitches.
