Vine Stitch – stitch 27

This stitch is made on multiple of 6 +4 stitches, and repeat of 16 rows + 4 rows of set up.

Cast on: Multiple of 6 +4 stitches

Set up rows:
Row 1 & row 3) K or Sl 1, Rep *(P2, K1)*
Row 2 & row 4) P or Sl 1, Rep *(K2, P1)*

Stitch instruction:
Row 1, 3, 5: Sl1, Rep (P2, *IRP-K2tog, P2, K1), P2, K1
Row 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16: Sl1, Rep (K2, P1)
Row 7: K1, Rep (P2, K1)
Row 8: P1, Rep (K2, P1)
Row 9, 11, 13: Sl1, Rep (P2, K1, P2, *ILP-K2tog), P2, K1

Note:
*IRP-K2tog: insert the tip of right needle into the third loop down the next knit stitch, which will be the forth stitch in the left needle, then wrap the yarn around it and pull it through the loop, put it in the left needle and knit it with the next knit stitch.

*ILP-K2tog: insert the tip of left needle into the forth loop down the knit stitch in right needle, then wrap the yarn around it and pull it through the loop, put it in the left needle and knit it with the next knit stitch.
