Pattern 16 – Basic Cable Stitch

 

  1. Take 2 stitches from left needle to the right needle without knitting them,
  2. knit the next 2 stitches,
  3. Drop these 4 knits from right needle ,
  4. Take stitch number 3 & 4 with right needle ,
  5. Take number 1 & 2 with left needle ,
  6. knit number 1 & 2 which are in the left needle
