The Dimensional Herringbone Pattern is a bold, textured stitch created with simple crossing techniques. Its structured look makes it perfect for sweaters, cardigans, bags, cushions, and any project that needs a strong, eye-catching texture.
This pattern is worked over a multiple of 8 stitches + 2 and follows an 8-row repeat. All wrong-side rows are purled, while the texture forms on the right-side rows through alternating left and right crosses.

Tips for Success ✨
- Keep your purl stitches loose on the wrong side—tight purls can cause curling and stiffness.
- Pay attention to the flow of the lines: when crosses meet, balance them by alternating left and right crosses.
- Look for visual clues in the fabric—groups of four knit stitches signal it’s time for a new cross. Once you recognize this rhythm, you won’t need to count every row.
